February 28, 2018, Kyiv - The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine appointed the Supervisory Board of the new independent gas transmission operator - PJSC "Maine Gas Pipelines of Ukraine" on the basis of the decision of the Committee to appoint heads of particularly important enterprises, which includes observers from diplomatic institutions and international financial organizations. The corresponding order was signed today by Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Igor Nasalik.
Independent directors of the Supervisory Board of the PJSC "Maine Gas Pipelines of Ukraine" were Karina Luchinkina, who worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC Fabrice Noilhan, who worked at the Ministry of Energy of France, Jan Chadam, who was chairman of the board of the Slovak Gaz-System gas operator and Walter Boltz, who worked at the Austrian regulatory body E-Control. Representatives of the state in the Supervisory Board are Kostyantyn Marievich and Adomas Auditskas.
International organizations - Representation of the European Union in Ukraine, EBRD, World Bank, French Embassy in Ukraine, Energy Community Secretariat - highly appreciated the transparency of the competitive selection of candidates for positions of independent members of the Supervisory Board of PJSC "Ukraine's Main Gas Pipelines". They recommended the Government of Ukraine to scale the technology of successful selection of this competitive selection to other state enterprises of Ukraine.
Recall that the independent operator of the gas transmission system of Ukraine - PJSC "Maine Gas Pipelines of Ukraine" was created by the Government of Ukraine on November 9, 2016 to meet the requirements of the Third Energy Package of the EU. On the eve of 2018, the registration process of PJSC "Maine Gas Pipelines of Ukraine" was completed, shares registered with the Securities Commission on December 28, 2017. Also approved the corporate governance plan of this company, the issue of its financing has been resolved.
